Why not just export CSV from Monzo?
Monzo does offer a CSV export directly, but it lacks a balance column and the format can require cleanup for use in accounting software. PivotBank parses the PDF statement, which includes balance data, giving you a more complete picture.
When you unlock a statement, PivotBank also adds automatic transaction categorisation, merchant analysis, and spending insights, features the Monzo CSV export doesn't include.
Every format a Monzo statement converts to
Monzo statement to Excel and Google Sheets (XLSX)
Formatted columns, a summary sheet, and totals you can check by eye.
Monzo statement to any spreadsheet or accounting tool (CSV)
The universal import format, accepted by every accounting tool.
Monzo statement to QuickBooks Online (QBO)
QuickBooks' own dialect, so no column mapping on import.
Monzo statement to Xero, Sage and FreeAgent (OFX)
Typed transactions and duplicate-safe IDs, imported with no setup.
Monzo statement to Quicken and QuickBooks Desktop (QIF)
The format the desktop ledgers have always read.
Monzo statement to your own scripts and pipelines (JSON)
Every transaction categorised, with the balance check included.
Monzo statement questions
Where do I download my Monzo statement as a PDF?
In the Monzo app, open Account, then Statements, choose the month and export it as a PDF. Monzo also offers a CSV, but it covers a single month at a time and drops the running balance, which is why a converted PDF is often the more useful file.
Is my Monzo statement uploaded to your servers?
No. The PDF is opened on your device, including OCR for scanned pages, and the spreadsheet is written on your device. Only statements you explicitly unlock and save to an account are stored, and only as extracted transaction data, never the PDF itself.
Does it handle Monzo Pots and joint accounts?
Yes. Pot transfers and joint account rows appear as ordinary transactions with their descriptions intact, and the running balance is carried through, so the converted spreadsheet reconciles against the statement.
How much does it cost?
Converting and previewing is free, and so is Excel or CSV export for the first pages. Unlocking a full statement, with every page, the accounting export formats and the spending breakdown, is a one-time payment of about £2.49 with no subscription.
